Let's sketch together,  right in the dunes

The sound of the waves, the calls of seagulls, and gorgeous landscapes. We will explore different drawing methods and coloring techniques to create expressive sketches.

No specific drawing experience is required - we will analyze the motifs step by step and draw them together in the sketchbook.

Dates & Meeting Point

• WHEN:   Sunday, June 14, 2026 – Sunday, June 21, 2026 
• WHERE: Cadzand-Bad on the Dutch North Sea coast (right at the beach, approx.                     25 km from Bruges)
• HOW TO GET THERE:  Arrival & departure are individual - by car, train, bus, or                                                     plane. A good overview of travel options can be found                                                       here:   omio.com
• MEETING POINT If arriving by train, we meet at the NMBS train station in Knokke.                                    If arriving by car, we will meet directly in Cadzand-Bad

Drawing Workshops with Barbara Baumann:

6 days with several drawing workshops on the beach and in the surrounding area of the Netherlands & Belgium

We let ourselves be guided by inspiration, motifs, and the weather. Some workshops will take place directly in the dunes in front of the hotel, others during trips, for example to Bruges, Ostend, Knokke, Sluis, or Damme. For these excursions, you should be able to walk well and  to climb stairs.

The drawing workshops are combined with excursions and we will adapt to the drawing-needs of the participants.

Please note that program changes are possible: we stay flexible and adapt to weather conditions. Should rain keep us from drawing outdoors, we have a varied indoor program prepared.

We offer 3 options for this drawing week with Barbara Baumann:

 OPTION 1: Drawing Workshop + Luxury Hotel ****  in the Dunes

• The beach hotel is located on a dune with spectacular sea views.
• Your room has a sea view and includes free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a private balcony. Paid parking (20 € per night) is available. Charging stations for electric cars are provided. Breakfast features a rich selection of fresh, regional products.
• With wellness area and indoor pool.
• Double room with breakfast
• Not included: lunch and dinner, indoor car parking at Hotel, entrance fees for excursions, bicycle rental, contribution to carpooling

• Price per workshop participant in a double room:      € 2,020 // CHF 1,920
• Price per accompanying person in a double room:     € 1,100 // CHF 1,050
• Price Single Workshopparticipant in a Doppelroom:  € 2,950 // CHF 2,785
• Travel insurance (course and hotel) is the responsibility of participants.

OPTION 3: Drawing Workshop without Accommodation

       Accommodation is not included in the course price.

• Price: € 995 // CHF 950 per workshop participant
• Travel insurance (course only) is the responsibility of participants.
• Not included: food and drinks, entrance fees for excursions, bicycle rental, contribution to carpooling

• Early-bird price for bookings until Dec 15, 2025, midnight: 8% discount  (We did the calculations for you, see the gray box at the bottom).

For excursions outside of Cadzand-Bad, we will form carpools or participants can travel individually. (Planned excursions to Bruges, Knokke, Ostend, Damme, and Sluis)
